A spring pin is a hollow cylindrical component made by coiling a thin sheet of spring steel into a tube shape. When inserted into a hole, it generates elastic force to prevent loosening and provide positioning. Compared to solid pins, it is lighter and widely used for simple fastening, anti-rotation, and anti-loosening applications. It is also known as a roll pin.
This type features a wave-shaped edge gap (wave type). Compared to straight types, the parts are less likely to interlock or jam, making them suitable for automated assembly.
There are two types: standard duty and light duty. The light-duty type is about half the thickness of the standard type and is suitable for materials such as aluminum, plastic, or applications requiring reduced insertion force.
