Square weld nut

A square weld nut is used when threading (tapping) on thin metal sheets is difficult. By welding the nut onto the base material, a strong and stable joint can be formed.

The four protruding legs are welded to the base material, improving joint stability.

It is available in two types: with pilot and without pilot.
The pilot type allows easier positioning during assembly, improving work efficiency.

Applicable standards: JIS B 1196 (Type 1C, 1D), DIN 928 (Type A, B)

JIS square weld nut classification:

  • 1D type: without pilot, standard type
  • 1C type: with pilot, featuring four projections for projection welding, enabling easier alignment during installation
