Hex socket set screw (grub screw / slotted head) (knurled tip)

# Bolts

# DIN, JIS

Hex socket set screw is a headless screw with a body diameter equal to the thread diameter and a hexagonal socket for tightening with an Allen key.

It is also known as a grub screw or HS set screw. This type of screw is used by pressing the screw tip against a component surface, mainly for positioning or securing mechanical parts.

This type features a cup point with a knurled/serrated edge. The serrations bite into the mating surface, providing a very high resistance to loosening or slippage.
