C-Type Retaining Ring for Shafts (External Circlip) is a C-shaped retaining ring installed into a groove on a shaft to secure components and prevent parts such as bearings from moving axially (thrust direction).
The ring is expanded using circlip pliers and then fitted into the groove on the shaft. It is mainly used for positioning mechanical components and preventing them from slipping during operation.
